Refurbishment of the Kunda town street lighting renovation is complete

In the last days of November, the Virumaa Department of Connecto handed the street lighting refurbishment works of Kunda town over to Viru-Nigula Municipality. The work lasted from May to November and cost approximately 885,000 euros. A total of 17 kilometres of new underground cables were laid, 11 street lighting control panels were replaced and over 500 new LED luminaires were installed. Now, most of the town of Kunda is covered by a modern energy efficient street lighting network. The construction was co-financed by the EU Cohesion Fund through the Environmental Investment Centre.
