During the works, which started in late summer, we will build a 20 kV power and communication cable network between the wind turbines, a grounding network for the wind turbines, a 110\/20 kV substation for the wind farm and a 110 kV interconnection substation with a 330\/110 kV overhead line to connect the wind farm to the main grid (Elering).  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">rebuilding and connecting works<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. The works will include the construction, testing and commissioning of the entire wind farm&#8217;s power system, and will be completed in summer 2023.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":0,\"335559740\":240}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The expected annual production of the Saarde wind farm will be 135 GWh, covering the annual electricity consumption needs of more than 40 000 households. In the course of the project, we built a 20 kV cable network between the wind turbines with fibre-optic communication links (total length of cables 60 km), a 110\/20 kV substation for the wind farm with storage and living facilities for the maintenance team, and a 110 kV substation with 110 kV overhead line connections to connect the wind farm to the Latvian transmission grid (AST). The work included testing and commissioning of the entire wind farm&#8217;s power system (including grid testing of the wind farm).  <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":0,\"335559740\":240}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The expected annual production of the T\u0101rgale wind farm is 155 GWh, enough to meet the annual energy needs of more than 50 thousand households.
