UAB Connecto Lithuania and Lithuanian transmission system operator Litgrid AB have signed a construction contract for the reconstruction of the 330 kV overhead line LN531-LN447 in Lithuania.
The project will be implemented on a “turnkey” basis. The scope of works includes design, dismantling of the existing overhead line, supply of materials and construction of the new 330 kV overhead line. The total length of the overhead line to be built is 63 km and the contract value of the works is €17.3 million. The first year will be spent on design, with construction starting in 2023. at the beginning of 2011 and will run until 2025. until February 2011.
The reconstruction of the 330 kV overhead line LN531-LN447 is part of the project to connect the Baltic electricity grid to continental Europe.
